Before anything else
Instagram is reached through a Facebook Page
This trips up more people than any other part of the setup, and it is not something any tool can work around. Meta only exposes an Instagram account to an app when two things are true: the account is a professional account — Business or Creator, not personal — and it is linked to a Facebook Page you manage.
We find your Instagram accounts by asking Meta for the Pages you manage and reading the Instagram account attached to each one. If nothing is attached, there is nothing to connect, and no error message anywhere will explain why. Both switches live in the Instagram app under Settings, and flipping them takes about a minute.

There is no image filter here, and that is Instagram's doing rather than ours: its comment webhook sends us the text of a comment and nothing about attachments, so there is nothing to match on. On Facebook the attachment does come through, and the filter exists.

What Instagram will not let anyone moderate
These are limits in Meta's own API. They apply to every tool in this category, including ours, and anybody promising otherwise is describing something they cannot deliver.
Where the volume actually is
Reels and ads, not your grid
A grid post is seen mostly by people who already follow you, and it behaves. A Reel that gets picked up, or any post you put money behind, is shown to strangers at a rate no inbox keeps up with — and that is precisely where the scam links go, because that is where the audience is.

Can I turn comments off on a Reel?
Yes, from the Reel’s own … menu. Existing comments are hidden while commenting is off and come back when you switch it on again.
What happened to “advanced comment filtering”?
The name is gone. The current control is Hide unwanted comments, set to None, Some or More, and it runs on Instagram’s word list rather than yours.
Why has the comment count not dropped?
Because Meta counts hidden comments in a post’s total. The number staying put is not a sign the filter failed.
